Mac Vs Sephora Vs MyPick

It seems to me that over the past 5 years or so there has become a growing infatuation with Mac. I myself was guilty to giving in to the big "BOOM!" just because the name was so famous, and all my friends were using it. I decided to try it out on myself and my clients so that I could see what it was all about.

Throughout the years that I have been using Mac, I find that Mac gives me just what I'm looking for when I am doing a photo shoot or a runway show. Very shortyly put, if you want to look like you have on makeup, no matter how great it may look, Mac is for you. Applying Mac products everyday, seems to be a bit much. True, every cosmetic line has a number of applications, from concealers to foundations to toners, but in my experience, Mac products work best when ALL are applied every time the product is used, so don't try a short cut.

Next, I decided to give Sephora a try. Walking into the store, I realized that this place was great! Mac just sells Mac brands, Sephora opens its doors to Lancome',Clinique and Makeup Forever, which I think is wonderful! In this one store you are not forced to use one brand. And, whoever said that mixing brands was no good, lied in my opinion.

Overall, I think you can say my choice mixed. If I am doing a Photo shoot, my pick is Mac, but if I am reaching for a natural feel, then I am definitely going to go with Sephora, and remember going with Sephora doesn't just end there. It means I'm also going with Lorac, MakeUp Forever, Kate Von D, Bare Escentuals, Peter Thomas Roth and a host of many more.

Latisse, Is it for you?

There seems to be a lot of new hype about a product called Latisse, which is suppose to make your eyelashes grow! I think it's a great idea. When you think about it, who wants to glue eyelashes on themselves everyday? Not me, so if there is a way to grow eyelashes, I'll try it!
If you do try Latisse, don't expect to see results right away. Latisse takes at least 6 weeks to start working, but it is worth the wait. I have always had smaller lashes and even using mascara didn't make much of a difference. My problem was, however, when I apply false lashes they tend to swallow my face. I am well aware of all the different types of lashes out there. Short, medium, long, thickened, etc. but I love Latisse because it forms the lashes to your face, so you don't have to ask yourself the infamous question: Will it look nice on me? - Of course it will.

There are some side effect to Latisse. If you have allergies to medications or you break out when using certain skin care products, be sure to consult your physician before you use Latisse. But wait, Latisse is only available with a doctors prescription so a visit to the doc will be necessary anyway.
There is $80 cost for Latisse, however when at your doctors office ask if there are any special cupons or rebates on the product, often there are.

As for me, I love Latisse! You have to try it to decide... and remember be patient with the product - you will see results over time...

If you wanted to get a prescription or had any other questions about cosmetic products I can recommend a great doctor. Her name is Dr. Stacey Silvers. Her number is 212-213-3339. Her practice goes by the name of Madison Skin and Laser Center located in New York, New York.

Try it, you'll love it!
